Happy New Year!
A Sister in Christ (her name is Carole) recently shared the following with Eileen and me and she gave us permission to share it with you.
“The books of Ezra and Nehemiah are one book in the Hebrew Bible. The phrase "the gracious hand of the Lord was on me" is found 7 times---interesting number.
Ezra 7:6b “The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.”
Ezra 7:9b “he arrived in Jerusalem on the first day of the fifth month, for the gracious hand of his God was on him.”
Ezra 7:28b “Because the hand of the Lord my God was on me, I took courage and gathered leaders from Israel to go up with me.”
Ezra 8:18 “Because the gracious hand of our God was on us, they brought us.”
Ezra 8:31 “The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way.”
Nehemiah 2:8c “And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests.”
Nehemiah 2:18 “I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me.”
I am praying that the gracious hand of the Lord will be on each of you.”
These words are speaking clearly and loudly to me. And the Gracious Hand of the Lord is upon the Southwest Native American District Church of the Nazarene! Even if we don’t feel it or see it, the fact is that it is true! We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the end of the month at the Midyear Leadership Conference (January 26-28)---please see the attached information for the details. We also look forward to sharing with you and hearing how the Gracious Hand of the Lord has been on you specifically!

8. SNAD District Assembly at Phoenix First COTN June 29-July 1, 2023.
9. Nazarene Youth Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida July 5-9, 2023. Last I heard there were about 25 people from SNAD attending.
